I hear you ! Even the regular 12c had wheels better than this. Thankfully jaguar didn't follow this trend with the f-type!

So I am not the only one who thinks the wheels on this look those cheap ones from Taiwan ! They could have easily put something more good looking that what they have now.
Again.. These vehicles had electric power steering not Steer by wire (SBW) and so even if its off, you can still turn the car just not very good . I am not saying that this loss of assist doesn't affect one bit but rather it doesn't mean you cannot absolutely turn the car like you mentioned !
If you wanna read more…
This is not true. Electric power steering still have a mechanical link to the wheels. They only assist you to turn but not turn for you. On the other hand there are new electric steering systems being developed by infiniti that have no mechanical connection except a clutch which engages when the power fails just to …
It is probably worth it if you plan to spec out a decent Cayman S. If I am not wrong, options on cars really depreciate bad vs the options coming standard on the car ? Wont a Cayman S with almost the same options as GTS be worth much lesser after 2 years than the GTS will be at the time ?
That probably is picture from a preproduction test vehicle . Look into any one of the test vehicles on the road in Detroit and you can find one that stops any one of the modules like ABS , engine etc or the entire car
You sir speak the truth ! I have yet to see atleast 2 cars out of the 20 or I see on the way to work have A) anything in the pickup bed especially in a new pickup like the F-150 B) Anyone one else riding in those dual cabs
Seeing anyone in the backseat of a pickup is even more rare than seeing a porsche on the road !
The sad part was that even had a couple of almost production ready prototypes ! God the car sounded great with just 4 cylinders. Sort of like early 80s F1 with the sound and the 1.5 L highly boosted 4 banger
Just get the 987.2 then ! Those DFI engine dont have the same IMS issues
*opps* double post*
Well I do agree but I was just trying to point out a over zealous critic's article who blew the calculations by over 1000 fold
As much as the scene was ridiculous with physics , that article has a major fail with the author taking the power in kW instead of watts as it should have been
Just quoting one of the comments in that page
"I think you mistakenly used 317W instead of 317kW in the first equation to come up with 2.3mph. If you use 317kW,…
I think you could watch the live stream on the ACO website for lemans and also through other sources such as Audi's and Corvette's own feed for their cars
Good point ..I was wondering the same as well ! Wonder if someone has a first hand experience at this over here
The 760 Rs on top ? Oh Come on ! I suggested that first *Jokes Apart* I am really surprised that the 760 is even street legal ! However the fact being that the particular car was for the streets of Argentina( sold to a Argentinian gentlemen ?) and italy being the only other place it was driven, I guess the noise…
While this might not be the loudest car ever on the street , it sure is one of the loudest "production" car to be sold straight from the factory. I wonder how they even sell the car that loud while still having it road legal !
Thanks for the insight mate ! I dont work with F1 but my engineering background is in engines and I quite agree with your observations. There are so much variables in there that I just don't see how they can increase the sound or even increase rev limit without a major headache to all the powertrain calibrations…
Having driven through this during one extremely snowy day I can quite agree ! When it snows here , the initial stretch low to the water is so bad that I felt as though I was driving into to the clouds. All I could see was a tiny part of the lamps on the either side making sure I didn't drive into the frozen waters…
Ring ? I hope it was a honest typo !
