"Apple doesn't even need to try anymore."

I couldn't get very far into the Gadget "live chat" before thinking, "some bored geeks in an office doesn't seem like the most inspired iPad testing area." Felt more like an Onion article.

I guess I still don't see the phone/tablet comparison.

You should read the article you're commenting on.

Uhhh, reading a book, browsing the web or trying to compose music on a little phone sounds like a blast!

"At least MS is leaving two distinct UIs, allowing you to pick, and letting them work fluently together."

Fortunately, Apple hasn't forced Launchpad on people who click on the Dock. I'm also noticing that Apple has worked on increasing functionality for people who use both iOS and OSX, without hampering productivity.

True, but I find searching Google for online reviews helps. I prefer to go into the App Store knowing what I need. I wish Apple would make searching/sorting much easier in the store.

Good stuff! Strangely the audio was coming a 1/2 second before the vid...

I was hitting Escape left and right to get out of full-screen modes and to get out of Metro. I never found escape to work at all in Windows 8.

Don't forget boxy and garish.

That's not the case, Marand.

Yeah, I've never seen anything like it in all my years of computing:

Metro is "sexy"???

What's a single good thing about the ribbon?

So sitting at the controls of a Fisher-Price toy is an improvement from what Apple is doing?

Bummer...

How do you turn off the Metro launcher so you can use your desktop PC?

And how does it not work?

Middle-click is an even easier way to open a link in a new tab. Just click, no menus.
