I kept your comment in mind as I was watching the second episode. Honestly, I'd say no. They're not that much of a distraction.

In that case, Homer and Marge's marriage shouldn't be believable either.
Go watch Boy Scoutz n the Hood. The formula has always been a staple of the show.
"From a more appreciated show"
I find it easier to follow along with that stuff when you turn on closed captioning.
The funny part is that he probably shot the Tree of Life long years before Moneyball.
How much would you say you pay attention to critical approval of an album? Do you often find yourself disagreeing with the general consensus of something? (It's a broad question, I know)
Woke up, fell out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
I'll give you credit for going to such an effort and making some interesting choices. Some of these I've never even heard of, and others haven't been listened to in a very long time.
Trying to think of albums that I would consider perfect from beginning to end, no weak track. The Joshua Tree comes to mind.
Call any album the greatest and you'll find a detractor. Art is subjective.
Two great Beatles solo songs that I only discovered recently:
Reading about Leonard Cohen's death a day later was very surreal around that time.
Which is ranked higher on the second Rolling Stone list he mentioned.
I feel like a lot of people's first Beatle song was Yellow Submarine.
Agreed. I know people make fun of this show at its worst, but I don't think the original series ever stooped as low as this. Scheuring's return was the only thing that gave me some renewed hope.
Rewatching the original series, I look back on it fondly because Scheuring only intended for the story to last two seasons (and I love those first two seasons). There is definitely a feeling of finality to the last several episodes of that second season. Season 3 has its moments, but I just watched the helicopter…
I like that song.
Have you listened to Harry Nilsson's A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night? Great album.
There have been too many Dylan albums for me to have heard them all, so I must admit I've never listened to Time Out of Mind.
