This seems to be a recurring pattern with films that build up a ton of hype and buzz. You go into them feeling as if you're guarenteed to love it, and then your interest wanes when you re-evaluate it. Boyhood and Avatar are two other films that come to mind.

The Emmys and Oscars certainly get things wrong in their respective formats, but the Grammys have always been more off in their selections than anything else. Mumford & Sons was the least deserving of the five nominees when they won Album of the Year.
