@Enochrewt: Yeah, I've tested pretty much everything that's out there and PS3MS is the one that works the best for my needs with the least headache so I'm a bit more enthusiastic about it than any of the other apps.

@Enochrewt: Yep! I too swear by 'PS3 Media Server' for the very reasons you highlighted. It's navigation alone is faster than any other server app that I've tried and it's a lot lighter on system resources than WMC. PS3MS' able to refresh the video lists for the extender in near real-time as content is added as well…

Well, it's not exactly as high tech, nor as lethal, as some of the other chrome balls that are out there... but yeah I guess it's worth posting.

@Purple Dave: This is true. A considerable amount of the whale meat sold in Japan actually comes from dolphins. It's purposefully packaged as whale meat.
