The ump doesn’t have to issue warnings before ejecting a pitcher if they determine it’s intentional. The warning is basically a courtesy to let both sides know that they’ve lost the benefit of the doubt.

My feeling on it is that yes, he has “paid” his “debt” to society. He has the right to walk around as a free man and pursue his dreams however he wants. No one else owes him anything, however, especially not professional sports teams. There’s a difference between getting a low-profile job in an office somewhere and…
I get that, but even when there’s no intent a hitter has every right to be upset about having to stand in against a guy who doesn’t know if he’s throwing strikes or hitting batters. He’s a professional pitcher and he should be able to avoid hitting guys that far off the plate.
To serve and protect...themselves.
Or, because they’re cops, they know that they’re practically immune to consequences for their actions and don’t really care who they tell.
What in the world makes you think this staff will inject “SJW nonsense” into the Witcher or make Geralt black? Is it honestly just that you can’t imagine how women and people of color could be hired to write a TV show except as part of some nefarious SJW plot?
All I want from the show is a fun world to visit. Full-blown Parks & Recitis is exactly what I want. I totally get that it’s not everyone’s thing, but I could have watched another ten years of that show exactly the way it was going.
You know how Republicans have been chipping away at social programs and government regulations and taxes and labor laws and voting rights and everything else? Once upon a time, all those things were considered mainstream political good things in the USA. All the left wing wants is all that stuff back, plus health…
Except... the Hank Hills of the world did vote for him.
Except that a significant number of Obama voters voted for Trump. Yes, obviously the vast majority of Trump voters were the same old Republican voters as always. But if an awful lot of people didn’t switch their votes in 2016 you’d have Clinton in the White House, not Trump. That’s why he got elected.
The Democratic party has shifted left on social issues, but only as a reflection of the shifting norms in society. On economic issues, the Democratic party has swung way, waaaaaaay to the right (which has been matched by the Republicans shifting from right-wing to extreme wingnut right-wing).
Exactly. 9/11 and the rise of Fox News changed everything. Back when the show first aired, blue-collar union workers like Roseanne were solid, reliable, progressive Democratic voters. Post 9/11, with the rise of Fox News and the utter destruction of the union movement, those same people elected Trump. These are the…
It seems like the writers aren’t taking into account the effect 9/11 and Fox News had on people like Roseanne Conner all over the country. 25 years ago the idea of almost anyone voting for a person like Trump would have been unthinkable, but the world has changed.
You seem fun.
I worked in the industry for almost a decade. I can forgive just about anything. But when I sit down in a restaurant, someone had better acknowledge my existence and soon. If you’re slammed, you don’t have to come take my order or bring me anything (even a menu) or spend any time at my table, but for fuck’s sake,…
It’s not just that they don’t know. Even when they do know, they can’t take the risk of reporting it and losing their job.
His victim (one of them) has every right to forgive him for what he did. That doesn’t mean he gets to act like it never happened, or that everyone else has to stop seeing him as a child rapist, because regardless of whether or not he’s been forgiven, he’s still a person who raped a child.
You’ve heard the expression, or some variation of, “your right to swing your fist ends at my nose,” right? It’s that. Go ahead and do everything you can for your kids, not including fucking over other people’s kids (or other people in general).
Guys, we’ve found an incel pretending to be a chad.
There is a cure for it: empathy. I don’t mean having empathy toward them, but teaching them to have empathy. Boys need to be taught better from a younger age that women count as people, or perhaps, they need to not be taught that women don’t count as people. Either way.
