Got the 12" because I thought it would be the most versatile, but we hardly used it just because of how unwieldy it is. Picked up the 10" awhile later, and we use it all the time. The 12" comes in handy when you really need the extra space, but 10" is way easier to work with and to clean. [Insert penis joke.]

I find that the current Kindle backlight works quite well for putting me into sleep mode; just be sure not to make it too bright. It's the LCD backlight of tablets and phones that keep you awake. But it is indeed unfortunate that there's no text to speech.

FYI, there is still a way to cancel auto-renew on your own. In your Prime Membership settings, hit "End Membership" on the left, hit "End Membership" again on the dialog, and on the second dialog, you will be given the option to end it on your current membership's expiration date. Flat panel monitors give off no UV radiation, and most fluorescent bulbs give off very little. You indeed can get sunlight UV through a window though.

In my research, it seems these systems are way overpriced and too much of a pain for not that great of performance. They trick people into thinking they work better with the dirty water. Dump the contents of a used vacuum bag into a bucket of water, and you get the same result.
