The only difference between “HD-2D” graphics and PS1-era sprites with 3D backgrounds is the focus effect. Apart from that, the low-poly environments with low-res textures are exactly the same. I haven’t seen a single HD-2D game that actually had detailed environments, just really crappy, low-effort stuff.

I’m with you here. Colony Wars was my jam when it came out. The amount of world-building and content in the encyclopedia in the first game was insane for a PlayStation game. It was also one of the best feeling space shooters I’ve played. Vengeance was great, too, but I never got around to Red Sun.

but it’s not portrayed as okay; it is very explicitly intended to be fucked up and wrong.”

Yeah, sarcasm is toxic.

Strange as it might seem for a company to be able to “own” colors, that’s an oversimplification of what Pantone does—it maintains a large library of reference colors and physical color samples used in print publishing and many design industries to ensure that colors look the way they’re supposed to look, no matter

Nah, they intentionally put a spoiler that would trigger people in the headline so that people would come in here and complain. Don’t be obtuse.

I can imagine this article if the other cats had been right there as soon as the door was opened at the end. “Ugh, so unrealistic—we’re expected to believe the other cats knew exactly when and where we would emerge after a day of Cat Odyssey?” “Let’s Talk About Stray’s Forced, Cliche Happy Ending”

It’s called clickbaiting.

You make it sound like being famous for a sextape is such a common thing. She’s a pretty rare case.

That’s only because they’re in a gang and drive around looking for trouble.

Who’s talking about shortcomings in character design? We’re talking about timelines.

Does she honestly think anyone forgot that’s where she comes from? Delusional.

As if it was the designers’ fault? The design was done six years ago.

I still can’t believe they went with “Triangle Strategy.” What a stupid name.

That is a website, my man. The guy who owns that website owns that webpage.

They need to stop with these literal translations from the Japanese and go back to coming up with something that sounds good in English. They started getting lazy around the time of “Bravely Default.” And “Octopath Traveler” is a dogshit name, for the record.

What if we made IP nontransferable and protected by copyright for as long as the creator lives? I don’t get why it needs to be more complicated than that, after excluding all the poor reasons given by companies/rich people.

Are you actually complaining that a game was more expensive at launch than it is today? That is the case with every game. The prices go down over time.
