They were always called “comfort women.” It was always an attempt to play down the fact that they were used for sex slavery. Calling them “sex slaves” instead is an attempt to acknowledge reality. The “emotion” that’s being removed by changing the term is a bogus denial of the truth.

Killer Queen is a blast. I’m looking forward to being able to whip this out at parties. P.S., one of my best friends from high school works with the guy who created Killer Queen, so I’ve gotten to playtest some other games they were making.

I remember that from when I was in Tokyo, unless there are a lot of walkways that look like this. Somewhere near Shinjuku. It was the only place I saw a homeless person the entire time I was in Japan.

I wonder if there’s a Kotaku for slot machines and pachinko where everyone is really pleased that this is happening.

This series looks like it was made for motion controls.

Is it possible you’re just used to using mice that are so small you can wrap your whole hand around them and never considered you shouldn’t need to?

Mmm, “Mid Grey.” The perfectly mediocre shade of color (if you can call it that) to entice a boring, old, everyday, run-of-the-mill website scroller such as me.

Backwards compatibility to all PS4 games, physical and digital, (except for P.T.) was officially confirmed a while back.

While not as bad as airing an incorrect clue on the show, Jeopardy’s social media often posts factoids from Mental Floss and let a false one slip by about the game Centipede. They said that hockey players from the USA and USSR teams played the game together during the 1980 Olympics, but I looked it up, and the game

Who on earth cares if a JRPG is 60 fps? Framerate doesn’t affect the gameplay one bit.

I find it interesting that you knock Octopath for being repetitive and then laud one of the most repetitive games that has ever existed. Bravely Default basically makes you play the same game twice with minor differences. I can’t get over just how goddamn lazy that was.

Thanks. Although I imagine it's going to be too expensive to buy two, so I'll have to hope a friend gets one. Also, 20 games seems a little on the light side.

That looks large.

Purely talking about shapes, a cross is two lines that intersect. A diagonal cross is still a type of cross, just like a diamond is still a type of parallelogram. There absolutely are diagonal crosses, and they can either be called crosses or saltires, but the latter is a heraldic term and isn't used outside of

× is called cross in algebra. What appears on the PlayStation controller is clearly not intended as a letter, but as a symbol, like the other symbols. On a Nintendo controller, X is the letter X, but not on PlayStation.

Damn, I had no idea there were other seasons. I knew there was a movie. I'll have to search them out.

Tis isn’t EXACTLY the same thing, but I really enjoyed the game Wizorb, which was an adventure/RPG with Breakout/Arkanoid gameplay. If that sounds good to you, too, look it up!

I’ve really been hoping for a second season of this or Midnight Diner. Kentaro is also good, but weirder and doesn't have the same relaxing quality. I also have to highly recommend Japan Style Originator, as every episode begins with a beautifully shot sequence about a different Japanese snack/dessert.

Yeah, Midnight Diner is the better choice, but they're both very good.

Still not convinced it's not CG. The hair and skin are too shiny.
