Never? Jeez. I feel like I’m going crazy because it happens literally every time I turn the 3D on. My face is not that weird, I don’t think. (Seriously questioning that, now.)

Or people just aren’t noticing it, or aren’t as bothered? I don’t want to assume my two “New” 3DSs are both screwed up in the same exact way. But it’s been a problem for me right from the start no matter what lighting conditions I’m in. It really takes me out of the game for it to flicker and get misaligned.

There is! It’s buried in the settings under the “Stable 3D calibration” (paraphrasing) option in “Other settings.” I’m glad I found this out today.

You’re right, apparently there is an option to turn off the face tracking in the deeper system settings. I would’ve assumed it would be with the other toggles, like auto-brightness. Thanks for pointing this out.

I like the 3D on the 3DS. I’ve always used it. But I’m actually not a big fan of the face tracking on the “New” models because it tends to screw up in different lighting situations and make my screen flicker, and sometimes it can’t track my face at all and is stuck in a bad state. I much preferred the old 3D, where

I wonder what kind of inflatable animal the Rat Union would put up outside of Toyosu Market.

Every complaint about the charm was unfailingly linked to the lack of rats. And I quote:

A lot of people are just explaining why Jeeps are cool, but this article is about depreciation. So what we should really be trying to figure out is why old Jeeps are still valued highly compared to new Jeeps. Look at the losers list, and you can immediately understand why BMWs make up most of it, because anyone who

Yeah, and it’s too well-lit, clean, and organized! Blech!

I still wouldn’t want randos walking through my workplace, even during off-hours. “It’s not Friday night? Sure, let’s let customers stand in the kitchen.” Said no restaurant ever.

Good grief.

So the two major complaints are:

The first and only time I did the butter-knife method, I got super high super fast. Like I felt like I had lifted off in just 5–10 seconds.

If this game is released with the N64 mini, whoever owns the rights will have a strong case to C&D.

The rights to this will come into contention with the N64 mini. One of the major reasons Nintendo is releasing these mini versions is to renew their rights. Same reason Capcom has been doing Mega Man stuff lately. They get to avoid having their trademark registrations lapse from inactivity, and then they can defend

Doesn’t really matter. Whoever owns the rights will be C&Ding this because of the N64 mini.

Yeah, think about all the sweet names that are going to open up now.

One interesting note about the dodge in Chasm is that it only became useful after a patch that was released a week or two after release. It was originally too slow to be of any use—you couldn’t cancel the attack animation with a dodge, so you just had to time your attacks wisely. Since the patch, the dodge is actually

Cease & desist is definitely coming, as Nintendo is working on the N64 mini. I’m starting to think these people are just trying to get their 15 minutes of fame by poking a bear with a stick.

Which again means nothing if two players of unequal skill are playing each other.
