I feel you. I really want to like Ghost in the Shell because of the aesthetics and its topics, but it touches on its themes in such a shallow, noncommittal way that it makes it hard to enjoy the movie. It’s just not saying anything or challenging viewers to think about anything. That’s why I see a lot of reviews

Okay, I tried it out before. I would say that it’s possible the slowdown doesn’t last as long and isn’t as constant, but that it still happens the same number of times. Like when I glide down into Kakariko Village, it still slows down, but maybe only for a couple of seconds as opposed to constantly. And I still get a

Yeah, I hardly ever buy games anymore. Time to cut my losses and work on what I already have.

This game sounds and looks cool as heck. Maybe I’ll get around to playing it in a couple years after I finish all the other games.

Will do! Actually I looked at a lot of comparison videos before I decided to buy, and I didn’t see any real important differences between the versions. What I learned is that there was just as much slowdown on the Wii U as on the Switch, just in different areas (probably for different processing reasons). And to me,

Yeah, that’s really fricken’ cool. I haven’t used the wide/flat-style cars since Breakout, when I first started playing, but I definitely want to give this one a shot.

The bandana makes him look a lot more like Axl Rose than DFW.

I tried that when I started (based on the advice of a Kotaku article), and I actually switched it back because it wasn’t intuitive to me. X makes a lot more sense as jump (because it moves Link upward), and B a lot more sense as cancel/let go (downward), to my mind. I think I’m also just used to B as the dash button

I haven’t noticed that. I still get all the slowdown on handheld mode. I don’t think the processing changes at all when the Wii U streams to the Gamepad.

You’re probably right, but I wasn’t completely certain this was the case. Even so, it’s kind of annoying having to hit that button combo so frequently. I’m used to dash and jump being right next to each other.

I thought the framerates were always good in Switch handheld mode.

That’s awesome. I will check this out on Wii U tonight.

How are those not mechanical keys? Are you telling me there’s a membrane under there?

I’m glad Hollywood didn’t cave in to the pressure from people who aren’t familiar with the anime and went with a caucasian to play the lead part in Ghost in the Shell.

True, would be great to sit on while tying your shoes and whatnot.

Are we all fine with Papers, Please? Or are you just saying that because you’re from the U.S., and you think that’s approximately how shitty Eastern Europe was at the height of communism because of the inherent bias against communism Americans are raised with?

Is anyone from one country ever right about their depictions of what life is like in another country? I see a lot of depictions of Americans in movies, shows, and games from all over the world, but they’re always at best somewhat jarring, and at worst hugely insulting and embarrassing. I’m sure American depictions of

I don’t know much about basketball, but I guess an alley-oop is what you call it when you miss the shot but there’s a teammate there to put it in anyway.

Haha, true. I am taking my time with Zelda because it’s a pretty casual game, but I might just get through the remaining bosses and finish the game up before Persona 5. Pretty good incentive.

I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a game since Final Fantasy IX or maybe Metal Gear Solid 3. I am seriously considering taking a day or two off to play it.
