It’s so strange. I used to think that entertainment would end up becoming so devalued for this generation that it would be impossible to convince them to ever pay anything for it. But instead they willingly donate to millionaires to watch them play video games. What a sad world.

No you wouldn’t need more storage for a discless system. Games on disc are fully installed to the hard drive and use the same amount of storage as digital versions.

How about Windows and Mac? Those are platforms where you can sell software without giving the platform creators a cut. Even on Android you can do this, you don't have to use Google Play.

You can use the backup function to backup everything on your hard drive to an external drive. You can use that backup to restore to another PS4. I have P.T. on my Pro due to this although I’ve never played it and probably never will.

They did give out games on PS+ (that was the only thing it offered besides some extra discounts on the PS store) before the PSN hack, but not as many as now. But PS+ was definitely never needed for online play of any kind on PS3, including the Souls games.

Wrong, PS+ has never been required for any online play on PS3, the requirement only started on PS4.

Considering PS4 came out 5 years ago this fall, 3 years for next gen is a very long time.

Exclusivity did benefit both The Order and Ryse as they both have excellent visuals which are likely due in large part to developing for one system. Also there was likely investment from the platform holder to help ensure these would be visually impressive titles to show off their system. This doesn’t make them better…
