There’s a line from “Body Heat” that comes to mind-

I don’t think they win, really -- their sloppiness contrasts so sharply with the recent example of Dr Ford, it only makes her seem even more credible, and publicizing these machinations just highlights the rarity of false accusations that actually go anywhere.

It’s not just that they are bad at it, they fundamentally misunderstand America’s relationship with sexual assault. “Hey, it got the libs riled up over Kavs, so maybe we should do the same?”

And THEN execute them. DJT’s execution date will go down in history as a bigger national holiday than the Fourth.

OMG these guys are SO BAD AT THIS! They really honestly actually thought that “Well, all you have to do to get people to believe in a crime is throw out an accusation!”.... Not realizing that you have to make it CREDIBLE the whole way through. They’re just hoping the media will grab it and run without first checking

That would actually support my theory that RB only has the staff to keep one car running. FWIW, I think the consensus is that Ricciardo is moving to Renault because he doesn’t want to get Webber’d.

The passage of the Civil Rights Act by a Democratic president and congress was a watershed moment in the party’s history, where they stood up and rejected their racist past and started expunging the segregationists and other deplorable people.

One might also imagine how these extreme right people would react if synagogues started placing armed guards outside. It would just be more evidence there was something really sinister going on inside. Probably involving child sacrifice and drinking human blood.

This POS took down 2 SWAT officers. Does Donnie Dipshit think a rent a cop or usher/greeter with a few hours at the range is going to stand a chance?

I certainly wouldn’t send my kids to any religious institution to learn about love and community.  The last 5000 years of human religious history should be enough evidence to prove that isn’t what religion is really all about.  Maybe here and there, in small ways and disparate places, but not on the whole.

Trump’s reaction to the shooting somehow managed to get worse as yesterday went on.

Because, in the case of this country at least, we’ve elected a leader who openly encourages this sort of thing and a congress who just sits back and does nothing to reign him in because he’s willing to pass their tax cuts and nominate their SCOTUS justices.

I still can’t get over the bald fact that Trump, the American president, responded to a guy shooting up Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood with an AR-15, with the comment that we need to arm our houses of worship.

I would say the proliferation of Nazis has also given them cover for when one finally snaps. These guys didn’t post anything outrageous...not when you look at what their online friends are also posting. How can anybody reasonably tell when one of them is going to go on a rampage until it’s too late?

Yep. Just a reminder that Germany has not allowed hate speech in public since 1949 and there have been very few neo-nazi-related deaths; certainly nothing like this. The causality Gab implies is completely self-serving. (And bullying, too: “Nice country you got here, hate to see anything happen to it.”)

Ooopsie ...

Only direct calls to actions are outlawed. If you say “America should get rid of all the Jews” that’s considered protected speech. But if you say “you should shoot that Jew” that is not protected speech.

If people can not express themselves through words, they will do so through violence.

It may be tough to remember anything other than the flying balls o’ death and Tall Man in Phantasm, but it had a ‘71 ‘Cuda.
