Not knowing a BMW is RWD?
I agree. Bernie's position is that he is offering slots on the calendar out to the right (and highest) bidders. The Bahraini government still continue to bankroll this race despite all the problems they are facing in their own country, so yes it is rather stupid of them to continue to spend upwards of $40m on a race…
Whilst Sir Stirling's remarks are hideously outdated, it must be said that the subject of that recent BBC documentary and someone who was quoted in response to the initial article in Susie Wolff is a person who has benefitted from positive discrimination, nepotism and regressive pre-feminist attitudes in order to get…
And yet, here in the UK, Ford is pretty much thought of as a domestic brand because of the success and individuality of the British arm (which then relocated to Cologne to create the supercompany Ford of Europe). Even after relocating, most Brits will not think of a Ford being American. We've always had our own line…
Maybe it's unliked in some corners because it seems to be an unashamed rip-off of the Zonda R, with Lamborghini 'accents'.
My 2nd suggestion...
Would you prefer a Pininfarina version?
I think it has to be something that gives you the widest span of the driving experience...
I also love how they pass the same Peugeot 206 about 15 times!
Er, this show is awesome... used to watch it a lot when I lived auf Deutschland!
This shoot seems to be a case of 'let's do anything but show it moving...' which, ironically has been Gerry Weigert's modus operandi for the company itself!
Not been a fan of any of Ferrari's recent wheels, some of them (including this one) in my opinion look really cheap...
Alfa Romeo has some nice ones...
Presumably he declined a test drive? 'I don't require a test drive, I designed the car'...
It wasn't banned as far as I'm aware (as Red Bull, Sauber and Ferrari are using variations on the initial idea on their current F1 cars), but with 2008 being the last year of those particular regulations, the concept became irrelevant.
For a guy that started this as a hobby and a way to help market his DC Shoes company, he's not bad is he?
What I don't get is that whilst the idea in itself is sound (you don't want large hailstones taking chunks out of your paintwork), there are so many better ways to execute it than swimming on your own car's roof.
My favourite F1's were the longtail GT racers. Taking what was already a pretty extreme road car aerodynamically and then going 'hey we can make this thing even faster with some cool alterations!' is just awesome.
Ferrari don't have to dispute the test results as they set up the car to be exactly what the tester wants, so they get a glowing review but really only on that specific car, with Ferrari's engineers having worked on it the day before, with special tyres etc.
