I was just waiting on the reveal that Smithers was the henchman

That would be a twist I’d be into

Real talk, with all the old gangster movie production pushed around these past couple episodes, you’d think they would take the time to get the Italian right

Welp, I wanted this storyline of Ian’s not to be about his bipolar, but I can’t see his actions as being within the realm of rational behaviour any more. Seeing as how it was the mention of mental illness that set it off, I think that’s Chekhov’s gun on the mantle there (or whoever’s gun it is when the gun suddenly

I definitely agree that the personality transplant, as you perfectly put it, that replaced pre-s6 Ian with who we have now is incredibly problematic. I don’t necessarily dislike him or see him as always an asshole now. I just think Myles is too quick to jump to saying that his irrational actions out of anger or

Assorted thoughts:

He’s huge so that he can make other people look tough when they take hits from him in a fight. It’d be nice to have a protagonist ask someone out and get turned down once in a while. I know the Gallaghers are all hotter than your average grimy

Thank fucking god; I did the same thing. This reeks of the writer for this episode being told what they could start with and the showrunners then failing to make that happen

I see more of a parallel to Karen, back when she and Lip were a thing. Chaotic blonde girl, white picket fence family, over-commitment issues

I’m in complete agreement with Jags on this one. I returned to this show after about a year off, a year in which I started seeing someone who had a history that involved a pretty serious battle with depression, anxiety, multiple trips to a psychiatric ward, and attempted suicide. In the year we’ve been seeing each
