No, dude. That's not trivial. That's hurting you, and you're allowed to be hurt. Anyone would be hurt by that, especially if it came out of the blue and you were already having a rough time. You can be sad, okay? You can be sad, angry, hurt, confused. I think that often emotions become easier to handle when you give

Hey, dude. We're glad you're here. You still matter, okay? You can talk about whatever you need. We'll listen.

hugs. Feelings come and go like waves. Let them wash over you, and let them go.

I've been thinking the exact same thing! Would love to see a pic of you!

A motion shot. She turned her head and the photographer caught the earring mid-swing.

This looks like a nightgown to me. Oh wait, it's Prada.

Has it occurred to you that she may be showing up wearing less attractive dresses because she doesn't have many options to choose from?

Obviously you are not a linguistic scholar. All dialects - standard or nonstandard - have grammatical structure (i.e., sentences that are grammatical, sentences that are ungrammatical, and even sentences that are considered informal but which are used by many speakers, depending on their social background).

i used to live in yemen, and the young people LOVED egyptian and libanese arabic - and understood it. and they were huge fans of nancy ajram. to be fair though: i myself don't really speak arabic, nor am i in any way knowledgable about arabic. i just lived there and observed said behaviour.

Come on, I don't disagree with the overall point here, but let's not exaggerate. Yes, MSA is the lingua franca and it makes sense - on some level - to use it to reach the broadest audience. But Egypt dominated Arabic-language music, film, radio, and television for a good 40 years (I know that the Gulf is currently

"4) 70-90% (Not Sure of 2014 rates) of Egyptians are illiterate."

1) Yes

A lot of Arabic kid shows actually used the "Modern Standard," or "fus-ha" Arabic. It's not a bad thing, considering that's the language used in basically all non-chat-based writing. It's not like it's a dead language — these kids are going to be using it their whole lives.

That's as silly as asking how kids in Seattle or Chicago know what a camel is. Yes, Saudi society and American society are very different, but they still have TVs and such there.

This is infuriating. History is ugly, but you must bring the ugly to light so you can take steps to hopefully stop it from happening again.

At this point, I think school administrators need to be educated more than the students. They don't know a thing about racism if they think educating kids about blackface is offensive.

Because placing blind blame is easier than delving into the roots of the problem.

Lol @ this comment on the Associate Press website:

Poor Rob. Apparently, he's a very "down to earth" guy. I can imagine being overwhelmed by the insanity that wedding must have been.

I just really wish he could have stuck around to throw wine on Jaden Smith's stupid outfit.
