I share a bullpen office at work. It is also the location of the couches and a projector/tv set up. I've watched more Dodger games in the past week than I have in the past seven years of living in Los Angeles.

It's a lot of fun: a children's book where no one dies, and the world is full of adventure, delight and joy.   Remember when that was a thing?

I once tried to teach a class on urban environments to 10 year olds using this book.  It sorta worked!

Or Garth Marenghi's dark place, for Americans.

I fled that cursed hell hole state for a reason.  You're never dragging me back.  NEVER.  (except for Christmas and maybe to go to Islands of Adventure)

Yes.  The answer is always yes.

@avclub-eee6e49e09ab1c283e2d7689d45a7b4b:disqus your fake account was giving me pick up truck sales recs.
I swear it will be funnier if/when you actually meet me.

At that place in Brighton Beach?

Westside haunts: Oldfield's or maybe the Mandrake. They're not too far from the Expo Line, a straight shot down La Cienega/Venice Blvd for the West Hollywood folks.

You can't see me, but I'm throwing a "Westside" at you.

And now you're family!

Congrats!!!!! That's awesome.

There will be photos!  Hopefully!

See, if I didn't have a grant application due at 5 today, I would be able to calm down some.  But the timing of everything has sort of fucked me over.

We made rabbit rillette this week as a treat for our dads.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

I'M TAKING MY GUVMINT AND GOOOOIN' HOME!

Thing I realized last week:  I organize stuff for a living.  I get on the phone at ask vendors to cut me breaks all the time, and I have a knack for leveraging stuff for freebies.

Right now, Mr. Donut is on the war path against the caterer.   I don't think he will ever not be on the war path against the caterer.

My wedding is also on Saturday.  I am currently in a coffee shop, surrounded by a random collection of Australians (Venice makes no sense), hiding from my mom.
