Not really. Soda costs a few cents but is marked up several thousand percent. So someone "stealing" soda costs you almost nothing, but it's true you wouldn't be getting the huge profit from a sale. Two different things.
When I worked at a restaurant, we got as much free soda was we wanted because that shit costs pennies a gallon and is sold for $2 a cup. It would take a lot of soda theft to start losing money on it.
