“Oh no. We’ll lose all those Raider fans,” said city officials, while unsuccessfully trying to keep from laughing.

God, I hate the NFL. Love football, but can’t stand the NFL.

I love your work Alanis but this headline is a bit click-baitey maybe?

This is almost as bad as when they took this guy’s vanity plate away.

End the DHS.

This seems fairly standard. He said something without saying much. Not sure what they wanted him to say. Go through a list of people who are staying and who are not? He likely has no say in this. Another company bought his magazine, so they bought the employees as well. Whether they will be laid off or kept on with

Not really clear on what they expected him to say? I mean, he says, “Hey, folks still working at US Weekly, this is going to be really good for you and the people who have acquired you are good people to work for,” and he says, “Hey, folks who are still working with us, don’t worry, this is part of a bigger plan

Yeah, that article only compares total losses to ride revenue, i.e, all the spending on non-taxi stuff is included.

All of this allegedly puts a former Mexican tabloid executive in the locker rooms of the last three Super Bowls, surreptitiously nabbing incredibly valuable sports memorabilia right from under the noses of at least dozens of people, only to get caught a couple years later. We can stop that too....why is it ok to justify something that’s wrong with something else that’s wrong?

It does not matter that TM repaid the loan. The loan itself is the issue. It’s not like you or I can open a half billion dollar line of taxpayer backed credit to live out our desires with no personal penalty should we fail. We have to do it on our own dime and if we borrow be stuck with the consequences of failure.

The

The loans was give at subsidized rates. The government shouldn’t be in this business. They also still give tax breaks to the rich for buying a Tesla. Then they ruin the roads with their heavy ass EVs and don’t pay any road Taxes. The time will come for electric cars the government doesn’t need to force it.

Need I remind anyone that VPG created this loathsome monstrosity:

About damn time We dont need to subsidize these companies. Elon can raise VC money and has enough of his own. If people won’t buy electric cars with out tax breaks then maybe they aren’t ready for mainstream and that’s OK. Electric car will happen we dont need to force it. Every rich person that buys a tesla uses
