I think it's frustrating, but having him there gives necessary balance to the show. There are bound to be people like him in the world, after all.

But it didn't seem bare-bones. It kinda seemed like the Machine took the time to make a drop-shadow, choose a non-standard font, and change the background color to not-black. The whole thing just seemed off to me.

Ah true. The two sequences are so different in tone that I'm willing to let them share the "best use of music" award. The music on this show won me over as early as Episode 2, where they used Handsome Boy Modeling School.

I thought the Machine was one of the six? (She didn't die, but I thought the showrunners said that one of the AIs would meet its demise in the finale.) I don't think Blond Chick, striking as her appearance was, would be considered a main or supporting character…

Am I the only person who has issue with the Machine's use of fonts? That scene was very emotional (and last week's one in the asylum), but each time I got taken out of the moment because I thought the presentation could have been better :/
