OK, I just watched the first two episodes. Overall, the show is pretty funny, but not uproariously so like I found Arrested Development or even Everybody Hates Chris, which I recently started watching. Would be pretty interesting to do a comparison of the two shows. I feel like a lot of the humor is too obvious

Upvoting 2 years later because I love MGS and also Manu Bennett would be an awesome Snake.

Thanks for sharing your take. Is Constance Wu just really good in this show, or has she been in other stuff that everyone else besides me has seen? (Nothing in her filmography really stands out to me besides Torchwood: Miracle Day, but that's standing out in a bad way.)

Asian Jim!

OK but I had a question about Samaritan's knowledge of humanity. Maybe I missed some exposition earlier in the season, but doesn't Samaritan have access to all human knowledge, all databases, and subsequently books, journals, THE INTERNET? (And moreover, it's not erased everyday like the Machine.) So why would it need

Why?

That kid from "Baby Blue" needs to grow up faster.

Thanks — I couldn't understand what name Reese was saying.

Yeah, which is why I try really hard to avoid reading interviews because who knows whether to believe what comes out of those? I mean I'm not saying they lie, but people miscommunicate and people's intentions change. I think I would rather not let what's outside of the text influence my reading of it. Of course, it's

I prefer that they did not leave it open-ended — unlike you, I don't think I ever would've been on the same page as the characters (because we have meta-textual information about Shaw/Shahi) and I feel like for the show to pretend otherwise would've been disingenuous and ultimately quite frustrating for me, personally.

Who knew Reese watched movies??

I do say that, as do many people who live around me (in Central NY as well)! (We didn't grow up here though.)

Isn't True Detective one of those shows that only airs in the summer and has, like, six episodes? (I haven't seen it.) She could definitely do both shows, right?

I live in Upstate NY. I knew there was something wrong with this place…

Didn't we just have an episode where literally everything was Jake?! It probably feels like longer ago because of the way the eps are spaced out.

It's true. As an Asian I feel like I have to tip double to make up for others. :(

Did you mean to say Ivy League undergrads are shy/modest?

your formatting was a bit off
