I was even holding out for a post-credits scene after that :(

I thought Varys was just sitting with Tyrion for a while as those sad bells tolled. He realized that Tyrion had killed someone important, probably someone related to him. I… can't imagine what Varys might do in Essos, although SPOILERS FOR A CHARLES DANCE WITH DRAGONS………………..
Hot Pie and Grey Worm. It is known.
So you could say that he was…. Grenoble
I just feel like a lot of the reviews here do that thing where they try to make the same point over and over again. Which I guess is what you're supposed to do in a piece of criticism, but it can feel really tedious for the reader especially if he/she doesn't agree.
Man either you or that guy talking about Jane Eyre must've been HIGH AS FUCK.
Huh, that's an… interesting interpretation. But I feel like lots of people really are just casual TV watchers and they'll watch even shows like GoT while they're doing other stuff. And with hundreds of names on the show, I feel like it's easy to miss one here and there. Doesn't mean they're stupid.
I forgot what his role was in both book and show. But I thought that scene was a nice touch (to show that maybe he thought the mission was foolish, even though Jon was his friend), and maybe foreshadowing of his future relationship with Jon. Aaaaand then he died.
Young man is this your first AV club review??
I want to read those, too. Any particular recommendations?
They sell poutine at Tim Horton's? Truly, the North is a wondrous place.
I would like to subscribe to your fan fiction newsletter.
jeeez
Tormund?
I read that scene completely differently — I thought they'd already weakened the gate at that point, so he just took it the rest of the way.
If we don't get at least 10 minutes of Ser Pounce in the finale, I'm boycotting this show.
Disappointment + surprise = miserable?
Nah, I don't think it will show up. It's something he wonders internally; it would be weird for him to keep asking that out loud. Right?!?! I hope so.
That seems uncharitable.
I was holding on to that hope so badly at the end of the episode. I was like, OK, they're going to see somebody's legs when that gate is lifted up…. OK, no legs… maybe they're standing farther away… maybe they're levitating…….
