Great car, they should have named it Bob, or Ted....anything but Sue-pra.

About 99% of 100% IMO

Possibly...I do think the new higher performance ecoboost will flaten out in the higher rpm’s...but I think it probably should have been that way from the start. I have driven BMW turbos and they are nice. My 2019 Mazda turbo axts like a regular engine...no drama and no huge power surge...it just does good DD work.

As a worker you have no rights beyond code, state and federal work rules, OHSA, and so forth. The people running the company offer a job at a set pay rate...this is America one is not an endentured servant.

You might want to tell their Union reps...they are the ones selling the bullshit.

Yes I own a modern turbo, a 2019 in fact.

Yes see: Walmart and Amazon.

That is just so stupid. Union labor rates in a global market caused that sucking sound you heard as middle and lower middle class jobs left the country.

Unions always want their share of the profit, but never want to share in the losses.

I can vouch for that Skyactiv comment.

Not sure how you come up with that. I am no fanboy of any foreign flagged cars but the Accord is one of the nicest looking sedans I have seen in a long time...the Camry is just, it’s...ugh.

R-U-N-N-O-F-T unless you decide to bail on this thing before the warranty expires, or unless you decide to deplete your 401K

The Accord is a very nice looking automobile. Does the Sport have a CVT?

Note to Toyota: When attempting to push a performance division of Toyota on the US public, one might use a different acronym than one which phonetically and literally says “Turd”.

He is talking about the power to weight ratio on acceleration IMO.

I had a 91 Sentra SE-R with the NA Infinity 2.0 @ 140hp

I agree with everything you are saying here. a lag of .2 seconds does not equate to the lag in building power.

Because we all race to work at 6000rpm.

Uh, ever driven a Eco slowboost?

Exactly. Peak horsepower numbers never really interested me. I am more interested in torque, when and where it is made as well as how much is produced. That is what gets one moving and where the issue lies with the 86. Moving to the 2.5 with a correct tune should help this issue.
