The problem is, in 2-3 years when apple care runs out, and you'd like to swap out your ram or hard-drive (maybe there's a failure) or some part of the screen goes out, you are having to deal with a MUCH bigger bill than if it was easier to fix.

With all of the skeuomorphism we've been seeing from Apple, I wouldn't be surprised to see fake creases and folds. "Look, it's just like the beautiful old Thomas Bros. Guide!"
