No, Celine doesn’t take herself as seriously as Anne. Her ham comes from within not an attempt to appear charming and self-effacing.

I love Celine to no end. I mean, she can sing, for real. She’s hammy, so’s Bette Midler and Liza Minelli. She has a unique voice which is really enviable in the sea of banal singers. And she never takes herself too seriously. Other than overexposure, there’s nothing wrong with her.

Not Celine’s best effort. But honestly, she's a MUCH better singer than Adele, whose limited range and poor command of dynamics leaves her extremely overrated.

One thing about Celine: I know a few people who work for her and she treats her employees very well. She comes off goofy and very French Canadian i.e. very easy to make fun of, but at least she’s a good boss.
