You seriously are going to sit there on a Thursday afternoon and try to tell me that that cartoon-ass angry face Mercedes that looks like it was designed by a room full of middle schoolers is more aesthetically appealing than an LFA?

EVs for rental outside of big cities seems dubious. I imagine a lot of renters have EVs and are renting ICE for long trips. No one wants to fly to a strange area and go scouting for chargers.

I actually like the look of the ZDX the most of any of the Ultium platform cars, but it’s so disappointing that Honda didn’t do more for the interior for this and the Prologue. The difference in layout and material quality between Honda’s modern interiors and GM’s is night and day.

I highly doubt they did anything the lower the compression on the motor before they put on the blower. That engine is a serious nightmare for major repair/replacement and the supercharger would no doubt shorten its lifespan.  The addition of the blower makes the car worthless to me. It is the “other peoples mod”

A few of my friends had these in the 90s. They really weren’t anything special then. Less so, now.

OMG I was going to give you a hard time for caving to one comment. Then I read the caption and snorted coffee. Now I’m laughing/choking/and typing at the same time. Bravo, good sir. Bravo.

Restomods are supposed to be subtle. The whole fad has gone way up its own asshole at this point to the point of parody.

To me, the “miss” here is that they are making this into a “race car” in the first place.  They should just focus on keeping it clean and classy, with updated electronics and the Ford-derived V12 from the Aston catalogue.  Give it a 6-speed as standard with a J-gate connected to a ZF 8HP as an option.  Finish it off

So very very tired of restomods. They all end up looking exactly the same; I don’t believe for a second that the designers did anything aside from push a button in their AI app. Give me a flawed, warty original any day of the week.

So are we just going to ignore that they basically copied the Lister Le Mans from the 1980s?

Yes. It works on a manual. I’ve had mine (Honda) go off to avoid running into a bush in a parking space. It didn’t hit the bush and stalled.

I just commented along these lines.

Apparently you don’t spend enough time on mom-targeted Instagram. “SUV Mom” is a serious thing on social media, as embarrassing as it is, and this is the premier “SUV Mom” truck. Except maybe the Escalade/Expedition. At my daycare there are at least five of them every day, driven by tiny women who have two kids. The

She’s like a walking Instagram filter.

Hate on the iX all you want, at least it doesn’t look like this.

I don’t mind the styling, the power is impressive (though being an EV, it’s like, meh, they all do 0-60 in 4 seconds, who cares) but it does not look at all like a six-digit vehicle. Pity all the carbon that was created in fast-tracking this project to market.

It won’t. The X4 is rated at just 135 minutes recording time at 5.7k 30fps. I suppose lowering the resolution will extend that a bit, but not dramatically so as to extend it to a full 12 hours.

This is what happened when I got laid off in December. My former company is headquartered in California. We were on the payroll for 2 months, but not actually working as we were locked out of everything. Then we were officially terminated after the 60 days. Then we got our severance. It is weird (and sucky) that Tesla

but at the same time you can’t call this severance cause its not really pay after you are fired. its legally required pay because they were supposed to warn you about a layoff but didnt. so yea. stop calling it severance. its REQUIRED PAY

My coworkers were given 2 months notice then (average) 2 months severance that included health insurance.  Many just didnt work those last two months making it essentially 4 months severance.
