My mom has a 2017 Chevy Equinox, probably the last year or so before they made the switch to CarPlay, and it is by far the worst interface I have ever used for media, Bluetooth and GPS.

Tires make ALL of the difference! I don’t know why automakers don’t put the very best tires (for the intended market) on all of their cars.
This Tesla was not equipped for driving off road. Propert tires and lock up would have helped. There’s no telling what the driver’s ability had to do with it though.
I grind my teeth every time Tesla or someone they’ve told it to (Cammisa) tries to pass those tires off as “Mud/All-Terrain”. It’s an all-season tread with decorative mud tire cuts on the sides. It’s also why I roll my eyes when they do “apples to apples” acceleration tests against a Hummer EV on ACTUAL mud tires, a…
I checked your math and it’s correct.
It’s roughly 1000 times more attractive than the Supra.
That’s great news. Toyota doesn’t do orders, and never really has. Dealers can kind of request what they want, but they are really beholden to whatever Toyota (or one of its distributors, in regions where those are applicable) sends. And the Toyota dealers have been wildin’. Markups galore on anything remotely…
It wasn’t long ago when CEOs were essentially telling the public, and shareholders that the days of full car lots were more or less a thing of the past.
No. Non-scheduled and less than 30 seat operators fly under a different set of regulations (FAR 135) than the airlines (FAR 121).
Be aware that these carriers operate to lower standards than the airlines (different regulatory regime) flying airplanes that are intrinsically less safe, and generally with less experienced pilots. That’s a big chunk of how they can operate cheaper. TANSTAAFL.
Should be the first thing you do before potentially racing through intersections and/or weaving through cars. It’s flipping a switch.
So if I’m understanding this correctly...
I’ve been watching this for awhile, since I work on school busses for a living, though not in a rural district. For most of our routes, they are a solid option. That being said we don’t use the full sized transits for anything other than field trips and sporting events. A 93 mile round trip max would cover a lot of…
So 99% of the time the Eletric bus is totally fine (once they have a good working version of it), and you keep ICE bus for the football team/others to do those longer trips in. Wow that was an amazingly difficult problem to solve in 3 seconds...
“There’s literally been studies that show trucks are more lethal to pedestrians and other cars”
Hey Lawrence- major props for honestly discussing a difficult issue. It would’ve been easier and understandable to just walk away from that experience without sharing it. By doing so, it normalizes a very common difficulty (panic/claustrophobia). I hope you can get back in a rally car in the future, but even if…
