Pretty sure this is 100% not true. They have sensors in the pavement usually. The ‘sensitivity’ of how fast the light changes is probably fully programmed at the box on the side of the road — it’s not a matter of a better sensor knowing you’re there, just the timers / programming in the box.

For that matter, they should just make all red lights just flash red all the time so you never have to wait?

While the EX30 is a Chinese-made CUV, the Zeekr X has a wheelbase of 2750mm. The EX30 is 100mm (4 inches) smaller than the Zeekr, so it’s not simply rebadged.  Maybe they have multiple versions of the same platform?

Remember, the EX30 is a compact vehicle with a 104.3" wheelbase, similar to a Mazda CX-30 or a Honda HR-V. Now that the Bolt is mostly gone, this Volvo competes mainly with the Kona EV ($34K to $42K). The 2024 Mini Countryman EV will also be in the compact/premium EV class.
