That’s the problem with the West’s (USA, EU, etc) economic system. All that matters is getting profit in the short term, so go ahead and outsource/offshore everything. Everyone else is doing it, so you also have to do it to keep up, otherwise your stock price goes down. Auto manufacturers and major banks / investment

I heard they all quit in protest of airbag requirements. Maybe some of them are now designing wheels for Formula 1, though.

I guess this model year hasn’t hit the online configurator yet, but Porsche option prices are always fun:

I didn’t say Puerto Rico is a state. I just said the people are US citizens.

Everyone knows that US citizens cannot have a Spanish accent. That means you’re *Mexican*. /s

I’ve seen federal government employees accuse Puerto Ricans of not being US citizens before, luckily they figured it out pretty quickly.  Then they tried to make up for it by saying “oh I meant *continental* US”.

If only that guy had been a bit more successful as a football coach, we wouldn’t have needed to deal with him in politics.

I think these power seats were used across all the nearly-identical C & H-body cars (Lesabre/Park Avenue, Delta 88/98, Pontiac Bonneville). The Pontiac didn’t get the crazy control panel from the Buick, though. It got a bunch of rocker buttons:

How about a used Mini Clubman S All4?

I was just going to ask the same question.

They’re the modern version of the ‘personal luxury coupes’ from the ‘70s and ‘80s. Why did people ever buy one of those enormous coupes rather than the equivalent luxury sedan? Because people thought they looked cool.

The problem is that car people *thought* that Lambo, Aston Martin, Ferrari, etc. were in the business to sell sports cars. They are *actually* in the business of selling luxury+status-mobiles, which happened to be sports cars for a few decades.

This was a joke related to the original comment (collaborate with Toyota on a sports car) & the Eclipse Cross.

...like your smart TV...

What a crap color for a special edition. Let’s try Especially Boring edition.

With the Supra likely to be cancelled soon (shipping only ~5k/year), a $60K 3000GT would never make it to market.

I totally agree the 3000GT VR-4 was a really cool tech demo-car. They probably took the tech a couple steps too far, but it was an awesome 90's car.

The Hvar civilization, upon completion of their submerged city, attempted to move in.  They promptly drowned and became a culture lost to time.

I’m 100% in favor of any special edition that includes a *real* color. Even if it’s just for the color. There just aren’t enough colorful cars in the US. Here are a few recent examples that are 100% good special editions:

Ever since Mitsubishi put the Eclipse name on a CUV, I agree they should partner with Toyota to make a 3000GT successor: all they got to do is rebadge the RAV4 Prime as the Mitsubishi 3000-Cross VR-4 and you’ll have your AWD hybrid!
