I’m guessing the comedian / vlogger / whomever is also milking the current anti-AI rhetoric in the press the past couple weeks being driven by all the AI generated images and ChatGPT. Easier to get view/likes when you’re publishing on the topic of the week.

Yeah they do paint lines on it at least.  Whoever published this photo should be fired.

Are You Kidding Me?!?!?!?! They couldn’t even paint silver lines over the radar on the Maybach version?! What is this a 2013 Sonata?

The tax rule isn’t *horrible*, but what kills it is that Prop13 also applies to commercial real estate, secondary homes (including rental properties), and can be inherited.

It looks nice. It’s great the color is not matte-primer-grey, too!

The developer managed to avoid the local city council b/c of the recently passed California SB-35, that lets developers skip a bunch of local city council roadblocks if they promise to deliver a certain percentage of “low income” housing.

On the ‘sedan’ comment I thought you were just talking about competitors to the Impreza like the Elantra/Forte, Corolla, Civic, Mazda 3 and Jetta.

The Ioniq6 should have come with the front clip of the new Sonata. This doesn’t look *bad*, but it’s a bit generic and awkward. The new Sonata looks more modern with it’s thin LED bar:

As soon as I read “slammed crossover” I was assuming this was a fully sarcastic comment, but it’s hard to tell. I mean, can someone seriously say thinks differently and offers a sedan instead” when literally every other brand (barring the big 3 that don’t compete in the ‘car’ market) offer sedans?

Re: Pony Express

Yeah I thought it was pretty funny that during the 2016 election, our local ballot had two proposals that were literally the opposite and they both lost:

Technically, Level 4 vehicles can have no steering wheel — they are fully computer controlled 100% of the time. The difference between level 4 and 5 is that 4 can operate in a ‘fenced’ area like a specific geography, range of weather conditions, or time of day. Level 5 has to be fully capable at all times.

If Supercruise was Level 3 and would let you focus on something completely different and ignore driving, then it’s worth it.  As long it’s a level 2 system where I have to fully pay attention to the road then i’ll keep my hand on the wheel and stay with standard adaptive cruise control for free.

I personally do not want to pay for a car data plan when I’ve got both a work phone and personal phone with unlimited data. I think GM’s various subscription plans can already run up to $90/month:

I trust Porsche’s quality and reliability, but IMO the Taycan is overpriced for what it is. Porsche always has the ‘luxury badge tax’ though, so the price is expected.

Android Auto obviously supports CarPlay (see Polestar and others). This is just GM being dumb.

Audi Etron GT ... guess it’s just a clone of the Porsche

Damn that’s ugly. Does the customer dream of living at the airport? By the looks of this ship, just about every outdoor space on this ship is almost directly beside a helipad. I guess if it is always parked just off the coast of UAE in the Persian Gulf, then no one wants to spend time outside anyway.
