This is how you take care of a bike from a semi:

My wife’s Volvo (XC90) uses a space saver. I guess it would be pretty hard to fit a full sized spare in the vehicle.... damn 22" wheels.

Pre-pandemic you could easily buy used Leafs under $12K.

So it’s just dry rot, or maybe the whole ‘spare tire’ thing is a red herring.

This would be absolutely hilarious to do with a couple minivans decorated in California and Rainbow flags. Too bad these truckers would probably freak out and kill the person driving the ‘antifa’ vehicle.

By agreeing to work at Tesla he certainly signed a contract not to discuss company details with the public. He’s signed away his freedom to publicly report on Tesla as a condition of employment. Virtually every corporation expects this of their employees — there is a public relations department intended for public

Not to mention that spare tires have a speed limit of ~50mph and are designed to get you to a tire store ASAP, not to be driven at 70mph until you get back home so you can deal with the tire next week sometime.

Ford and GM gave up, but Toyota still has the solution to your problem

I think both Rivian and Lucid stand a good chance — it’s a good gamble. I see both Rivians and a Lucid on a daily basis where I live, now. (Rivians are numerous. The Lucid I see is literally the same car every day or so, I wonder if the guy is a Lucid exec or something.)

This guy was literally working as a “advanced driver assistance systems test operator” and essentially putting his day-to-day work on a video for the public. He’s not some heroic whistleblower publishing a corporate cover up — tons of people already post the errors in the Tesla driving assistance system on Youtube. If

Cars considered must be sold in at least five countries, on at least two continents prior to 1 January of the year of the award.

Please read these two articles before randomly pulling the word ‘fascism’ out to disparage something you disagree with:

Yeah if you are a ‘bus life’ enthusiast and see ‘bus life’ as an end unto itself, I guess this is fun. Otherwise, spending $125K for purchase, plus maintenance, plus > $0.50/mile in fuel costs seems a pretty insane. I guess this math is similar for most large RV’s, right?

What, Elon on Twitter doesn’t count?! :)

You know, I think it actually looks better than the CX-9 since the Mazda’s grille is getting a bit snout-ish.  I’m not sure how the rest of the vehicle (interior) compares, though.

This guy is a dumbass. His goal is to increase his Youtube subscriber count.

So the problem with the AWD cars was their lack of snow tires / chains, not ground clearance? I realize that ground clearance + studded tires are important in very deep snow, but I have never lived somewhere (including New England) that would keep roads *open* when snow was that bad.

Otherwise known as Primer Gray.

That color reminds me of the 2005(?) Lime Gold Metallic Mustang a friend of mine bought. I appreciate that color even more now that there are so few colors on the road:

It’s acceptable at work and home. I understand that some people do not tolerate this for a road trip, though, which is perfectly reasonable.
