Looks like the Veloster N is not Amazon-worthy?

Amazon can threaten the dealer’s owner and employees if they do not sell the car for the agreed price: “You try to upsell this Amazon sale and we’ll cancel your Prime Membership! You’ll be screwed!”
Wake me up when they move their engineering / design centers to TX. So many companies start-up and stay in the Bay Area because they think they need access to the technical talent pool in the Bay Area. It’s a self-reinforcing problem.
Yes, especially in the luxury price bracket where people like to trade their cars after ~3 yrs.
Thanks, this is awesome!
Infotainment systems were so awful for so many years; today, they’ve finally achieved a quality of design and ease-of-use comparable with the best consumer electronics.
The one problem with your reasoning is that most infotainment UI’s are much less responsive than the *original* iphone from 2007. They’re much better in the last couple years, but automotive UI’s are still pretty crappy.
Unfortunately, this is going to be sold on a subscription basis.
Exactly.
Defense mechanism: “We recommend you attach a 200V, 1 Farad capacitor to the outer skin of the cat and have paramedic crews standing collect the bodies.”
All Bolts manufactured (1st and 2nd gen) are under a battery recall for a flaw that can potentially set the car on fire. They sent out a recall notice to everyone stating that you should not park inside, you should not charge overnight, and you should keep the battery above 25%. There is an interim ‘band-aid’ software…
I’ll believe it when I see it. That diesel Mazda was promising never materialized.
IMO, the most direct competitor is the Mini Cooper Electric. It’s $30K, 114 miles range, and apparently not available for lease. The Mini will likely be priced into the mid $30K range with any option packages, which will almost certainly be added on.
I’m betting that this car will not be sold within 100 miles of those areas. I’d guess they’ll only come to SF Bay Area and LA. They will probably be 99% leased, and they will sell *just* enough to satisfy CARB.
*REAL* *COLORS* !!!
I stand corrected. Thanks for picking the best color!
I’m not saying the Escort was at the level of Honda, I’m just pointing out that it would drive up hills without a problem because 90 hp was pretty normal in the late 80's.
How about this profession?
Tons of people drive around $50K Audi Q5's. That’s just a VW with a different logo, comparatively low-tech powertrain, and less than $1-2K of interior improvements.
I’m somewhat considering this vehicle to replace my fireBolt (when GM finishes the repurchase). I’d say the big benefit of the VW is the $7500 tax incentive. It’ll knock the price of this vehicle into the low $40k range, or about the same as an RWD Model 3. I am curious about how this car compares to the RWD Mach-E.
