She's got a great walk but better than Naomi? Girl bye.
She's got a great walk but better than Naomi? Girl bye.
I agree with everything you said here. I've stated in that past that if Tara or Lafayette get killed I will not watch the show. I have no trouble axing a show out of my viewing rotation. I did the same thing to project runway when they pulled that mess with Mondo and Gretchen and I haven't watched the new season. Done…
Aw yeah ABG just saved the day AGAIN.
I say "y'all" all the time. I'm in illinois. No one bats an eyelash
I get what you're saying here. It's like people can't be honest about their racism so they adopt a facade of tolerance when they really aren't. And then being black you end up discovering how bad they really are whereas white people would never know because they aren't the target. The responses you're receiving are…
Misfits is the best "superhero" show I've seen in forever.
That sounds like the greatest way to be inconvenienced. "Sorry I'm late buncha peacocks standing around being attractive"
Wrong again. Jesus has no power over Lafayette when Eric is involved. He has a clear case of PTSD. Jesus wouldn't have been able to say anything to convince him to join hands. Seeing a loved one about to die? That changes things. If you can't see that then you just don't understand Tara and Lafayette's relationship.
Who else would motivate Lafayette to join hands in the witches circle? Lafayette and his BF would not be on the run if They hadn't erased Eric's memory. Eric's memory would not have been erased if Lafayette had not used his power and joined hands in the circle. Lafayette would not have joined hands if Tara's life…
I'm not pretending to know you at all. I'm going by your comments only. You said last season she was "a bit better" which isn't saying much in favor of the character at all. Therefore you never really liked her character. I think that's an accurate assessment.
Boom! I say this all the time. White people stand next to black and call out the racism, trust and believe black people will notice.
Excactly. Lafaytte is a lot like Tara except he's male and isn't Sookie's designated BFF. But fans LOVE him. I think Tara violates a lot of fans ideas about what a black friend is supposed to be and they hate her for it. Which is why she needs to be seen more. Rutina's Tara is subverting the trope and I am glad for…
Nope if Tara were not there Lafayette would never have joined hands and Eric wouldn't have become the Woobie that rabid fans have come to love. She's the catalyst for everything that's happened this season just like in Season 2. Also the show needs a normal human reaction to the supernatural creatures wreaking havoc…
Yes we DO tend to get a lot of teen oriented manga over here. Some of it I can stomach and some of it drives me nuts. I've noticed though that some Josei manga titles make it over here. My favorite comic of all time being Happy Mania. I don't care where I move to in the future my Happy Mania collection is coming with…
I agree with this. I'm really not understanding all this Tara hate. I think most of the criticism leveled at Tara fit Sookie much, much better.
And are you checking what manga titles they are reading? There are A LOT of shojou manga superheo titles out there. Heck the one that hooked me back as a teenager was Sailor Moon. If you don't know Sailor Moon was about a teenaged girl who became a super hero to defend the Earth from evil She fought in skirts, bows…
I think by "do it" they mean not just writing and creating more female characters and comics, but promoting them just as much as they do the others. There's no point in hiring a female writer creating a great storyline and then keeping it on the back burner where it would ultimately fail just so they can say "See? we…
Hmm I started out reading Superhero comics but then I discovered manga and I haven't looked back since.
I'm a Tara fan. She's one of the very few reasons I watch this show. Last season every scene with sookie, bill, and eric in it was boring to me while I was on the edge of my seat for Tara's scenes. these vampires are too played for me to get into them and Sookie is a horrible, horrible plucky gal cliche character.
Someone was saying on Jezebel that he sounds like a lot of Mexicans born in Texas and that the actor is also from Texas. So that might explain his accent
