The military is quite diverse. The leadership and officer corps lean right, but many of the retired leadership came out against Trump.

If you read the rest of this thread, we came to that conclusion. When you get labeled “Christian” anything in this environment, it’s easy to jump to conclusions.
I grew up Catholic. My shot was at primarily fundamental Christians, the kind most likely to tell you that Catholics aren’t really “Christians.” Seems from the rest of the thread, we figured out she’s part of a liberal-ish congregation.
I think we have figured out she is UCC.
The ceremony happened back in 2013 (though it probably wasn’t a legal marriage, as it wasn’t legal in Hawaii at the time). She and Huffman had a really tough time and split somewhere in the interim.

Undoubtedly. Certainly some congregations have been very welcoming, like some Episcopalians and Catholics. I was striking back at the strong evangelical/fundamentalist strain that defines “Christian” only one way.
I found it’s UCC, not to be confused with the Southern Church of Christ (no singing, please).
She mentions this interesting passage, but it sounds like she has moved to the UCC which is pretty open-minded.
