The first time I voted, my 18th birthday was on the last day for voter registration. I was there right after school to register. It may have been possible to register earlier, but before the days of the internet, that kind of info wasn’t easy to find.

Interestingly, when I was growing up, the state law forced bars and liquor stores to be closed on election day until the polls close. Really upset when in college and we drove from a dry county to a wet one and discovered that there was some kind of school board election that day.

As an Arkansan who cast his first vote in 1978, the “Rodham” thing (and the lack of children) was definitely an item of discussion.

I can boo AND vote!

Be careful. They might just take it away from you with no warning.

Well, your answer only said you weren’t a Democrat.

So Curt never used his Press Pass to get into sporting events free?

You should know that your ignorant.

You know he’s made at least one of his mistresses wear one of those during the nasty.

That would mean the Dem candidate would be *****way***** out there.

Sometimes, voting isn’t about enthusiasm or popularity, but about making a choice that is best for all concerned. And that means all the Bernie supporters, too. He’ll have a really high profile job if the Dems take the Senate. He’ll probably get more done that way than as POTUS, anyway.

Drew Faust is a woman. That last paragraph assumes she is a he.

This Minnesota-focused episode of This American Life gives a good background on the hate:

Ted Nugent has a BBC and the blue balls?

Klassy.

@realDonaldTrump See, we told you she’s crooked. RIP Janet Reno #AnotherBody #Killery #RevengeoftheBlueDress.

Yes and I didn’t repeat my post earlier in this thread saying that. I was just highlighting that lack of public transit *can* be a problem, even if you live within walking distance of the polls.

But people still have to go to work and/or school. Lack of transit can add a lot of time & complexity to travel times.

But there’s the complexity of having to go to work or school. If you have to leave for your job well before the polls open and return after they close because of the strike, you might end up not voting.

Isn’t there some prayer that says “Deliver us from evil”? That’s the justice delivery I’m willing to sign for.
