the highest estimate from analysts is that apple sold 1M units at launch.. almost 25% of that, I estimate, were actually for the resellers shipping them outside the country.. that leaves about 750K units.. theres probably 120M households in the US.. notice i am taking households, not individuals.. thats like .6%…

Heard on bloomberg radio this morning that the estimated cost of producing this thing is about $8.. so they are making a gross margin of $31 or $61 depending on which one you are buying.. incredible..
