This whole article, and you could have just said “They’re called motor mounts. Duh.”

It’s powered by electricity. A bunch of batteries turn some electric motors with propellers attached to them. I don’t see where there are any gas turbine engines in the video? They made a battery backpack, used electric motors and propellers. Propellers are kind of the opposite of jet engines.
A jet suit, powered by not jets....
Best gif on the interwebs right there.
Thanks! Not as often as I’d like, though...
Huh, very cool. Ive never had to deal with cooling drag. My aero work always involved a lot of heating....
I dare you to do the Fiat 500 Abarth!
Is it really called cooling drag? Or just drag with a cooling side effect? I’ve just never heard that term before.
I get that, and it’s possible, but if it were a microwave attack I would expect some reports of the more common symptoms we associate from about 80 years of studying the effects, that’s all. It’s easily possible that this is different is some way, as well.
I admit, a tear was shed. That was an emotional scene at mission control.
What you guys are talking about could literally be done by breaking down a few microwave ovens. A Phased Array would be better, but much more expensive. You don’t need anything like a standing wave. The S band is ridiculously good at interacting with the human body, propagates really well.
Tell that to my 2 year old...
Parents, secure the dresser, but it’s probably not a good idea to use bolts. Bolts will likely not do you much good to the wall. A lag bolt, maybe, but that’s overkill. Use screws. They’re pointy, with wider threads, and they penetrate and secure into blind materials, vs bolts which need a threaded hole, or a nut…
You are sadistic....
“Automakers were initially worried the storm would dampen car sales.”
“We don’t brand them with scarlet letters and cast them out of society.”
Good lord, $kay....
This has nothing to do with the R53. What is that all about?
What you did there, logically, I see it.
Service cost, not maintenance costs, which would include fuel. That’s why they mentioned charging for basically nothing.
