It is, however, Mythbuster's fault that they claim, sometimes multiple times an episode, that they are doing science, and more science, and they claim they are right.

You're right, and you're right. But TV is (I mention why above) and mythbusters is popular enough that it is one of the primary sources of science education in our children's lives right now.

Funny, but not in the spirit of truth. Yes, they check things by experiment. However, they check things usually by one experiment, and repeat it with different initial conditions, lacking the ability to stray from their one hypothesis. This would be fine, if they were trying to prove or disprove that their imagined

Pre-Bush-No child left behind-SOL era, I would agree with you on all points. Now, not so much. My brother the science teacher tells me all sorts of horror stories about the stunted educational system. Kids these days aren't learning science and math the same way I did, and I only graduated high school in '97.

If you're like me, and happen to be a real life scientist, you realize that Grant Imahara is almost the worst thing on Mythbusters. In truth, if the show is any indication, he's a complete idiot. News flash, Grant, a pneumatic arm is not a robot, you tool, it's a mechanism. Go die in a fire. Mythbusters, while fun

It should be noted that most of the vehicles mentioned need forward facing cameras, as well. Think of all the curbs, squirrels, and Elise's that could be saved!

Shouldn't that be "You all kidding me, lite?"

Corvette Z06. Very sturdy, last forever, very good cargo space for a sports car, and if you're spending that much time in the seat you'd better be having fun doing it!

Proof?

You're likely right about the power numbers, though the LS9 will reliably make about 1000 HP without changing out the bottom end. It's a friggin beast.

You say that, but you forget that the LSA was built to handle more boost from the get go. A LOT more boost. If the bimmer engine was built in another car with much larger turbos, then scaled down for the M6, you'd have an argument. It's a good bet that there's not as much headroom in the M6 as in the CTS-V, just by

It's simpler than that. They took an LS9 and swapped the TVS2300 blower for the TVS1800 unit. It's literally *unbolt old unit, bolt new unit, flash a new tune, melt face.*

So the question is, would you pay double the price for the same performing car with a marginally better interior and an engine that can't be nearly instantaneously tweaked to 640 HP and 570 Ft-lbs by changing the blower on an engine that's already built to handle it?

But, using science, it's actually really really cool!

I wasn't such a fan of the first shots from The Avengers, but after the unveil, this may be the best looking Acura ever. I really want them to tweak the front a bit more away from the current awfulness of the buck-tooth beak, but otherwise it's pretty sweet.

Seizure, or epic jealous rage against the real Bowtie superstar? You decide!

HP is a fictitious number that only changes top speed, not force to the ground.

No?

It's really not all that amazing to me, from an physicist and engineer's eyes.

No. Just.... No.
