Similar situation ... I had a Marauder with Flo-tek heads and some other goodies. It was a hoot. Then I moved to the city with the most roundabouts in America. Had to make a change. Grabbed a 2 year old GTI and haven’t looked back. With the pilot sport tires and the Tune it is as capable as it needs to be in public.

Kind of off topic but loosely related, I have that the “Stage 1+” tune and the Cobb CAI installed on it for the better part of a year as well.  No issues so far.  I will rush right back here to report any issues I run into ...

Anecdotal evidence guy here :  GTI is 5 years old , I have owned it for 3.  Zero repairs just regular maintenance and tires.  

No one knows how to draw one because they all rusted away.

I think the “rusty” part is not in reference to the cutting edge but the mechanics of the guillotine.

So , in your mind , you know that he hasn’t been ball busted by his autocross fellas for having a Tesla?  It doesn’t seem far fetched to me that his gearhead buddies would do that and it isn’t far fetched to me that he brought his car to the event to prove a point to them.  I think you are simply being cynical and now…

But he is an autocross guy, his concern has never been about anything else.  If you are concerned with something else put your money down and go race an EV in your style of racing.  He did his part.

He had a great time and did the exact same thing in his Tesla that he did previously in his Honda and Mazda.  He doesn’t do that other type of racing so why would he do it only now that he has a Tesla?  

You are misrepresenting what he said... “A little over 10% of the range” is what he said.  Also, he is accurate depending on what you consider “a little over”

It’s going too be hard to “fuck of to the north” if he is dead.
