Someone will surely herald the HHR as a great vehicle, but the HHR SS gets my nod for misplaced performance engines.

Most of the Tesla models I currently know about. (...waiting for the Tesla Army to stop firing before I come out from cover...) The Tesla drivetrains are an absolute marvel, but they keep putting them in vehicles that I (and many others) would never own.
One thing I would say is that no matter how much money I have, my parents would just not accept a car that is too expensive. They may take something that was a bump in quality and status but if I bought anything over 100k they’d simply tell me to return. They might think it was a nice gesture but they’d probably also…
The car you buy your parents isn’t the car you buy yourself. My parents have probably hit their ceiling, tech-wise. They’ve definitely hit their inconvenience threshold - they want to go where they want, when they want, and they don’t want to search for chargers, etc. The hybrid is the way to go, I think. That new…
I really appreciate James’s insight regarding the Bentayga vs Rav4 hybrid consideration. “More money, more problems.” A fancy car is not just a normal car with nicer features. They come with unwanted “features” that make your life difficult just because they can. Like simple filters and wear-and-tear items are going…
A Hyundai Solaris level car at the same price point. The range can be less than 200km, but the price needs to be democratic. I fully realise the technical limitations, but I won’t be convinced until everyone who can afford a car right now will be able to afford an EV roughly equal to their current choice.
Get into autocross as early as possible. Learning vehicle recovery, quick reflexes and calm thinking in hectic environments does wonders for your ability to avoid the chaos that is driving in public.

“Easy does it, buddy. Rapid changes in direction and speed are not, in fact, the sign of a racing driver. You want it to be easy and smooth. Learn your driving line, and practice. You want people to want to ride with you.”
12-14 years ago I took my fwd 01 Volvo V70 down a dirt road with steep hills at both ends after a snow storm. Probably 6 inches of snow, slush, and mud. People typically only took 4wd vehicles on the road as the tire ruts were 2-6 inches deep depending on the area.
These “celebrity meals” are so stupid. The only one even close to worthwhile was the BTS one, and that’s only because there was a special dipping sauce for it. Same thing for the Megan the Stallion “hottie sauce” at Popeyes - at least there was something new and special about it and not just... Regular menu items.

Disabling screen functions when the car is in motion is stupid. Whoever’s riding shotgun should be able to operate the screen, but the software doesn’t allow it.
Prep all ingredients before starting (only takes a couple times of “oops, we are out of X at the last second), garbage container within reach of prep area, some cleaning habits.
I put a wet/damp towel under my cutting board to stop it from sliding (yes, I know many have non-slip nubs). Everything was stainless steel countertops in the back. Knives get honed and sharpened on a regular basis. My favorite knife is always in use, on the board, or put away - there is no “where is it?”. There’s a…
