I’m in a mid-sized crew cab and couldn’t disagree more. My 5.5' bed has done absolutely everything I’ve wanted to do with it and I use the bed for stuff at least weekly that I wouldn’t want inside the cabin. I’ve got enough room in the cab for my wife, daughter, and dog. I don’t need more bed, but the cab space of a

I had a 1987 Volvo 745 Turbo that was a blast on windy roads in rural PA. And was even better on the dirt roads in NM. Had that car from 110k miles in 1996 until 240k miles when it was totaled by an idiot driver in 2004.

My 1992 Cappuccino is the perfect slow car. There is never a dull drive: you have to drive it like a motorcycle since you’re halfway below the beltlines of most cars (and face level with any modern truck). All gaps are manageable. There isn’t a ton of power, but the gearing is short and when the turbo kicks in, you

As someone who never had enough money or creativity to buy/build a fast car, I’ve got some experience:

If you can’t manage a candy bar and a coke, you shouldn’t be driving.

Nissan Kicks - 122 hp with like an 11 second 0-60, in a brand new car. How is it safe for any new car to have a 0-60 slower than 10 seconds?

There are five fracking items on this list. Five. That does not necessitate a slideshow. NOTHING ever necessitates a slideshow.

Frankly, for me anyway, anything I’m not going to use for “sporty” driving or rock crawling can be automatic. I’ve had manual trucks and SUVs pulling trailers and there’s no arguing that towing is terrible for manual clutches - especially in hilly terrain.

Anything I’m commuting in.

In 1977 I went to the Melbourne Motor Show in Australia - I was eight. I was also convinced that this was going to be my first car in about a decade or so. I was wrong, it was a gutless small sedan. Still, I have the spiritual successor now:

Now that we’re moving to electric drivetrains and autonomous driving, the snub-nose vans definitely need to make a comeback. Minivans like the Aerostar and Ram...” And while we’re at it, lets make some snub nosed mid-size pickups with 6'-7' beds!

Honda Element.

I wish GM would bring back the small 2 seater, like the Sky and Solstice and competition to the Miata. They could even brand it as a small Corvette. They were critically undervalued at the time and came out at an unfortunately time.

The Solstice. Bring it back as a Corvette sub-model. Corvette is now mid-engined, the Camaro is going electric. This is the perfect time to bring back a Miata/86/BRZ fighter.

Delorean, I’d love to see a refreshed EV Delorean be announced. have a back to the future package that adds movie style “modifications” to it including sound effects when you reach 88 MPH.

A modernized version of the Karmann Ghia or the Volvo P1800. I had a Karmann Ghia in the 70's and loved it. It had such elegant curves to it. I always wanted a P1800 since discovering the one on The Saint.

An accord wagon would be nice. Especially with a stick. If no manual, then make it a hybrid.

Come on guys, it’s time to let it go already.

Heads-up displays are available on many cars these days. Most cars have mirrors that tilt when you shift into reverse.

I suggest the simple electric motor as the greatest car engine ever.
