There was a recent kerfuffle in my town about a consultant to the city who gave a short speech at a 21+ political gathering/party/activist thing about how to engage disaffected youth etc etc in the political process, and she said the F word multiple times and also included it on a slide! She even prefaced her speech

I think Gotham got really good in the back half. I had like 8 episodes built up and then I binge watched them, and was really into it. Supergirl looks pretty bad.

I think Iñárritu is highly overrated, but I do want to see Tom Hardy. So there's that.

I toured Skywalker Ranch back in 1990, and they had a display case with some star wars and raiders props, including the medallion that burns that guy's hand, and they looked really fake and cheap.

I saw this when it came out in San Francisco with my grandma. I can't remember when I saw Room with a View, but that was a big hit with us teenage girls. Have you seen Last of the Mohicans? One of my favorite movies, and Day-Lewis is magnetic in it. He's pretty much great in everything, except don't bother with Nine.

stupid autocorrect.

I upVOTED your depression post. Is that mean?

The more anti-high heel sentiment there is, the better. And this was hilarious. The clacky sounds make it.

I'm outraged by you.

I saw them play a few years ago, and I felt they had really overreached. Their 2006 tour was still good. But 6,7 years later, both roger and especially Pete seemed too old. Pete's brother Simon was really the MVP. He played most of the guitar and doubled the singing for both roger and Pete to wallpaper over their

Empty Glass is a great album. Totally holds up.

My husband read a recent biography of Moon, and he said it was really sad. I won't read it because I don't want to have all my barely there illusions shattered about his worth as a drummer or human being. I guess he was just a stunted person. His drumming was….undisciplined. I would argue that he did enhance the who's

Empty Glass is a much better album.

If I cared about Star Wars, this would have been excellent! As it is, it was pretty good, so-so, a-ok, what's another word for this?

I read the AV Club for all the pictures of naked women. Oh wait, that's Playboy.

(Awesome) Jasper Fforde's Shades of Grey vs. (crap) 50 Shades of Grey. One of these is a huge best selling phenomenon and the other is a stellar sci fi book that is utterly charming and perfect in every way, but relatively unknown and now tainted by titling.

When I ordered the ebook for the David Mitchell novel, they supplied that other book. They had to return my $ because they just didn't have the right ebook.

Never heard of the comedian! Big fan of the author though.

And the editing barely concealed the fact that it was producer meddling. Amazingly, the loser was (onscreen) good natured about the loss. I just read the wikipedia recap of this episode and it didn't jibe at all with my memory (that they were more negative about his food), so I think the recap is also bull****. I
