Better than NOT trying to be a Canadian Buffy… Also, apparently I like Dyson more than some of you folks. I even enjoyed that ridiculous wet shirt moment…because, yum.

I stopped watching this show awhile ago, but watched this episode. Definitely the one to come back on, since, you know, something actually happened! I might start watching it again next season.

I started with Perdido Street Station, and if you can get through some of the blah blah blah at first, it's a complete nail biter, can't put it down, terror fest. Nothing else he's written even comes close. The Scar, set in the same world, is awfully good as well. But I've been kind of disappointed with everything

Me too. Love me some Jason Isaacs.

I think it's important that we never find out which world is "real." I think it's more relevant to ask whether both worlds are fake, anyway. Or not; the show only has tension if we think the stakes are high in both worlds.

That's because Stargate sucked. I wish someone would give Ben Browder a good role.

I'll never forgive Sci Fi for canceling Farscape. Although I have given up calling them "see-fee" because of their stupid name change. Because it sounded stupid.

I also hate Monica, she's kind of a cliche, and boring as a result. Love Jodie and Sheila because they are both so dimwitted but well-meaning, they're the perfect match. After seeing Karen hit up former lovers for abortion cash, I'm thinking the baby may not be Lip's. I really hate his trajectory, but I think we're

Yes, gross and unattractive. There's no bad boy mystique going on there; he just looks like "future homeless person." All it does is show how messed up Deb is, which may be the point.

My mom told me recently, after seeing someone wearing an MC5 t-shirt on TV, that the band stayed at her "pad" in Mill Valley in 1969 when they were on tour, and that "one of them" hit on her. I've never listened to them.

OK, I have the album now, and like Mark Lanegan used to do, Jason Heller is smoking crack! I'm really liking this album.

I'm a huge Mark Lanegan fan, so I'm a little nervous about this.

So, in the first episode, the killer returns to Alcatraz…and yet Sam Neill didn't have eyes on the Ferry to catch any returning serial killers?? I have to assume the killers don't generally return to Alcatraz, because that would be like shooting fish in a barrel otherwise. Still, the show hasn't shown any other

It was pretty darn good in the first season. But as others have mentioned, it was retooled by, I assume, a comical and stereotypical group of executives who want to spice it up and attract younger viewers etc. by making it a cheesy ensemble cop show. At the time Ed o'neill was interviewed saying that the first season

This is Fox News, so definitely 24 hours of bullshit and filler…

Because pretending to have sex and/or spanking with Michael Fassbender sounds SOOO difficult.

He told unfunny, anti-fat jokes while he was still fat, so I'm not sure getting fat again will solve anything.

I also like this show. I was going to complain about the stereotyping of all the ugly and fat rejects in the basement, but then I realized that Mike White made himself one of those, so… Self awareness?

I think Jon's interviews have always sucked. I just skip right over them now. I enjoyed the Calvin Trillin interview, though, because Calvin Trillin is funny. I usually watch Colbert's interviews, though, because he makes them funny.

Lucy Lawless survived somehow and is back.
