I completely believe that the two infinitesimally different colors of orange on the bellhousing and engine is accurate too.

I can only imagine what a numbers-matching style rebuild of a Series would be like, and giggle. Single-coat paint on most body panels on top of chromate, with no paint other than overspray on the inside of the fenders. Multiple spot welds stacked on each other because if one is good, then five... Pieces bent to…
I’m pretty sure mad with power and ordinary mad are like... subtly different. Complimentary.
He once posted an entire thread of collected Danzig fan art at VWVortex. Pages and pages and pages. Also, there’s the Pink Panther mascot costume thing and the classic Mini thing and the animated GTFAC gif thing and the Martini livery lawnmower, and...

FINALLY
There have been a number of times a parody was the best example of a type of thing simply because for the parody to work, it has to be a careful and faithful study of all the important points. The Princess Bride is arguably the best Classic Adventure film, Weird Al’s Dare to be Stupid is arguably the best Devo song…
You’re going to have plenty of time to make these shitposts when you’re living IN A VAN down by THE RIVER.
I ran across somebody who offers ‘32-based frames narrowed to fit A body components, stretched to order. So, off the shelf, maybe not, but not hard to come by.
Okay, granted. I think, however, discussion of whether it’s an interference engine at *that* point is pretty academic. Shit done got interfered.
Can verify - is at least some small variety of donkey. In contrast with the period of time the 2.6 was kept, which was a right ass/arse.
Agreed on the second bit - but they had the OHV fours as standard in 1958. Just kept on with the 2.6 six F-head as well for more than a decade for no conceivable reason. It and its “adjust when hot” valves under the manifold - definitely an F-head that came up with that.
Perverse, but not unreasonable. Any appearance mods to make people even more confused? Of course, you’ll have to lengthen the frame a tad.
It also counts as channeling one’s inner Tommy Ivo, though not so much until they start multiplying. When all else fails, add more nailhead.
Yep. I’ve reshaped a Micarta knife handle.
Yeah, I should have specified in my post it was mostly a “neat” upgrade for somebody building a Deuce or Deluxe with a good bit of money, and most value is in being “neat”. That being said, being period correct and unusual is sometimes its own reward.
There was also an F-head conversion available for the ford V8, but as to why you’d ever use such a thing when the biggest issue with them is the exhaust passages...
It’s legit. An old-school hotrodding performance upgrade from the earliest days of over the counter aftermarket toys, still available new today. Pricey, but a very nice thing to have on a Deuce and still not all that common.
