The Passion of Joan of Arc. My favorite film. I conservatively estimate I’ve watched it 80 times since I first saw it in 2004.

DVR’ing TCM is pretty much a mainstay of the movie obsessive lifestyle, but TCM is pretty light on the post-70s films. Personally, I’m happy about that, so that they don’t turn into another AMC. But I say another outlet for quality films is nothing to complain about.
wtf is starz lol
For two or three years, then we’ll all be clamoring for his execution after he makes an awkward joke.
Black Panther 100% deserves every one of those technical nominations, but Best Picture? Get the fuck out of here.
Perkins has to put food on the table somehow.
I saw the Mule and enjoyed it. What their routine, which was just another round of making fun of the elderly, ignores is that this was based on a true story. Just a couple of kids who will, hopefully, be around long enough to regret this.
Of course you do
That’s a perfectly understandable reaction! In all honesty (I’m not sure if you’re familiar with this commenter or not, but he’s one of the absolute most insufferable regulars on this site) I’m mostly just hoisting him on his own petard and subjecting him to being judged by his own absurdly rigid standards of…
Well, I’m sure everyone learned their lesson and will be more cautious about jumping on a bandwagon next time without double checking their facts.
Remember when everyone who is a snowflake got easily offended by what you just commented and is replying that they are offended? :)
Came to delightfully read the hundreds of shitposts from butt hurt jagoffs who completely missed the point of what Johnson said... Was not disappointed.
God Damn, you people are vindictive. It’s not like he actually beat his son for being gay.
You know, AV Club, you don’t HAVE to cover everything Kevin Hart says. Especially when he’s not saying anything new.
This touches on a more general point. How much apologizing for a violation of some ever-changing social code must a person do before we let it go? If there’s nothing a person can ever do to clear their name, what’s the point of trying anyway?
Alright, I dislike Kevin Hart as much as the next normal person but can we give it a fucking break now?
I don’t have it on hand, but there was a great analysis of the scene by an editor, who suggests the structuring of the shots underlined the fact that Tony dies there, because there is a repetition of shots of Tony looking, and then cutting to what he is seeing, and that the last shot of him looking, followed a shot of…
...or 3) Know that if they tell jokes that are any more offensive than something a grade schooler can tell in class, someone’s gonna go apeshit and they’ll spend the next year backtracking and apologizing.
No shit, he doesn’t want to host. I’m sure he has better things to do than explain to idiots how jokes work.
