which roast would you recommend? I liked their black Cat but found others a bit too acidic.

there is a Jewish joke hiding behind this story :)

anyone who waits in line for anything just so they can brag about being one of the first ones to have it/do it and spend their own money, is an idiot in my book.

you’re crazy. This is at best a $1000 winter beater. I’d rather buy a motorcycle for $7k than this 30 yo crapbox

the 2.0t is not an econobox or you’re beating the crap out of it or you basically crawl bumper to bumper in heavy traffic. I have a 2.0t hatch and with a heavy foot I consistently get 30+ MPG. If you can rotate your tires, then you can change your oil as well and that takes 30 min, not 3h at a dealer. For some people

No, everything on the bill needs to stay in as a total to be divided by your consumption. You pay it, then it’s part of your cost regardless if it’s fixed or variable. The fixed cost needs to be equally allocated to each KWH used so that you get the real cost of KWH per month.

good, chrome looks nasty and if you really need shiny parts you can polish metal to get the look that’s desired. Chrome parts on cars need to especially fade off to the sunset.

base rate is BS since you never pay just that. You should take the whole bill and divide it by KWH. That’s your real electricity cost.

how much gas would your econobox be burning if it was ICE? Probably around 30mpg rather than 22. Also, how much time are you wasting trying to charge vs. just filling up in 3 min at a gas station? Factor in the inconvenience and range anxiety or uncertainty whether a charger will be available or taken, and it sounds

I hope that someone can take this over and really run this well. The business model was awesome, they had fair sell prices and were offering good purchase prices on vehicles that people wanted to sell to them. Also, their marketing “towers” were a nice albeit quirky/gimmicky touch.

I’m staying away from anything from Dodge, GM, Land Rover, Jaguar, Tesla. In addition to that I’m weary of 4 and 8 cylinder BMWs after some horror stories. Subaru’s models with open deck engine are a no-no for me either.

I have to second that. I had a MY15 GTI that ran rough at idle starting just post warranty and ended up needing a valve guide job at 100k miles. I’m not my 2nd GTI now, this time MY20 bought brand new the same as old one and while it’s running smooth, the ticking sound at idle is starting. Also the new clutch on dual

oh, interesting. have it in my list and was looking to watch as well over the weekend. Can you share what recent movies you enjoyed so I can compare if I’d like/dislike the same?

BMW M3 and M5 and countless other performance sedans would want to have a word with you. I bet that they also have a lot more luggage space than the Lexus ;)

the “shots” sign in the video told me all I wanted to know about this establishment :)

ND - this is a $500 winter beater at best.

same for most HD Ford utility cars. I had an RV in 2020 built on the F350 chassis/cab combo. The thing was brand new with 1000 miles and the dash/interior of the cab was as if I was teleported back to 1980's

Any car with bad set of tires. If you have winter tires on, even a RWD car will be palatable to drive as you’ll be able to have it under control and will know what to expect. Yes, it may be hard to get going but once you’re rolling you’ll be in control and not a “passenger” if something happens.

well, I’m driving from Chicago to Sarasota FL on Xmas day. Let’s see what happens :)

no, please don’t.
