it’s been working for me in the last 15 years of winter tire driving the same way it does to the guys in the video. 70mph may be a stretch but 55mph on plowed (not salted) highway is very doable and in control. Regular streets with 40-45MPH limits are very much doable at the speed limit with no drama.

if you went from GTI to TypeR then you must be barely in your 20's. I don’t see myself ever driving this ridiculously childish looking Civic.

don’t know what you’re talking about. I have 100k+ miles on my MKVII GTI and it has been problem free. And these are hard 100k miles.

MKVII here with 100k+ miles. I’m really thinking that I’ll take mine to 200k and then maybe get another one :)

My GTI has it too

You can’t safely do 40-45MPH on the snow? you need more training dude.

imagine if... you and rest of the idiots didn’t have to drive 20mph in a 45mph zone because everyone would be on winter tires and it would feel like just driving in a rain on regular all seasons. You could get to work in a regular time, instead of 3x longer. You would not have to worry as much about an idiot behind

let’s not get carried on here... He knows how to market himself and is a decent driver but you must be a dumb punk kid to walk past Loeb to get Block’s autograph

that 2nd Williams car is not identical. You can see it plainly in the weekend stats i.e. top speed. how can a car be so much slower even on straights? Also, when Russel was doing tests in Kubica’s car (Abu Dhabi?), he was even slower. They consistently lack 2 sets of identical parts for both cars, and the car is very

Kubica... that guy deserves that seat and a proper fast car to show what he can still do.

both collisions demonstrate very poor headlight mounts on Versa.

if you’re smart about your 401k portfolio, your annual expenses can be less than 0.01%. Tat’s a $1k per year on $1MM portfolio, if you have one :)

ah, the 90's. White socks with a suit    :)

once you properly learn heal and toe, it’s hard to stop. I’ve been driving manual cars for over 20 years and since i learned it about 15 years ago I do heal-and-toe on every downshift, especially when braking and downshifting into a 90 degree intersection turn. It helps if the car has pedals that are in the correct

you can do both and you pretty much need to dance with your feet on pedals all the time. In a manual car it is common to right foot brake into a corner if you know that you will have to downshift so that your left foot can operate the clutch, but as soon as that foot is available it gets back on the brake.

Taurus in the front and Mustang in the back = Taurang :(

because AWD doesn’t help you steer or brake in the snow if your tires are shit.

could be. I was pretty amazed last month when i decided to change OEM pads and discs on my 2015 MK7 GTI with 100k on it. The pads could still go probably another 10k to 20k. The rotors were grooved but not warped. Upon inspecting rear pads and discs i decided not to touch them as the discs were smooth and there was

I’m not a conspiracy theorist by any means but I find it funny that people will pay money to make their DNA’s available to “anyone” with some skirmish privacy policies but the same people would be outraged if the government decided that they want to collect DNA from them. lol

I liked when they had Homer Simpson at one time and also Top Gear guys were fun too :)
