I normally would agree but you’d have to strip away subsidies for all of the farmers and other “special” interests. If there are any handouts, then why should another group not get one?

yeah, let’s not. I would not want to lose brakes when a sensor goes bad...

and what used car exactly you had in mind that fits all of your criteria? Perhaps what you want doesn’t exist which is not that hard to imagine as there are a lot of cars that I’d want but don’t exist either. It’s always about compromises.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the money makes it’s way to the wall building. It sure as hell will not be saved or used to pay off debt. They will find a way to spend it.

I wouldn’t call myself gullible. I’m not the one that believed that I can drive a car whenever I want to call it a full time job and be able to support a lifestyle equal to the “Joneses”.

what, I observed my uber drivers before catching a next potential passenger that shows exactly where they’ll be going before the driver hit “accept”. Unless this was a previous version of their app and it recently changed.

then you set the price “accordingly” at 2am so that it’s enticing to some people to work or you just call a plain old cab if other rides are not available. Creating artificial supply just so you can service the demand is not a good way of promoting your business. I do appreciate a $15 ride home at 2am but I sure as

on most newer cars you can’t just remove one fuse. You have to remove 2 or 3 to fully disengage and at that time you’re killing not only ABS but also Stability Control, speed sensors and in some instances TPMS. You end up with half of your dashboard lit up.

the problem is how does a random idiot know when the system will be working and when it’s above the speed at which it works? Nobody ever reads the manual anymore and if the said idiot saw the system engaging in the parking lot at 10mph, he/she will assume that it works all the time and will bail them out if they’re

what’s next, dog walkers complaining that they can’t earn a solid living doing that few times per day?

the ride share concept in my mind works best for situations where let’s say i’m going to drive across town anyway and may as well pick up someone that’s going in the similar direction so that it covers my gas and then some. Think about it, if you could have $5-10 every time you commute to/from work, wouldn’t that be

Base camry is $24k MSRP which means that you can have an upgraded SE for about $25-$27 out the door. Even in Hybrid trim you can get one for $30 tops unless you’re one of those people that pays MSRP.

I don’t think people are buying $40k camrys either. For that money they’re usually looking at a Lexus or a Highlander.

Can we have Tesla’s Auto Pilot run for office next year? I’d vote for it. Sure it’s as reckless as the current POTUS but at least it can’t tweet yet so we will have someone that is less of an embarrassment on an international stage.

but there used to be one on cars and still is in many cases. It’s not red but black and looks like an ignition key. I still have one in mine ;)

but what about the missing “wrooom, wroom...” ??

let’s talk about metric system and ‘Murica...

and we should care about his opinion why? I don’t get this guy’s authority in the car scene. I watched an interview with him once and he had no clue what the camber on the alignment was or what it did. Seriously, it’s just another rich a$$hole with too much money lying around so he buys himself toys that will impress

I would love a spare one as well :)

I have MY2015 GTI with 97k miles and the clutch is still going strong. It is engaging noticeably higher than it used to but it’s probably far from slipping. The torque on GTIs is a bit too high for that clutch and any ECU mods that boost the torque figures will only accelerate the clutch’s demise. Hence why mine is
