@Derek Robinson: I understand that you're disgusted with Microsofts' "for profit" nature being ridiculed in such an adolescent fashion. Dismissing a valid argument for such ephemera as a dollar sign in the name though, is very much like throwing the baby out with the bath water. Would you be more receptive to

@UnMicD: Windows Live? Does anyone really use that? Games that are DESIGNED to use proprietary DirectX? That isn't SUPPOSED to run on anything but Windows? That's like whining because you can't watch HD streaming video on your iPod. Come on, use the right tool for the job.

@Jon Gunter: I traded living in a moderately sized city to live in the country (involutarily). Trying to make a living out here is "feast or famine". You're either starving to death looking for work, or you have way too much to do (with very little pay, if any). The only way we can afford to live out here is in

@tanshanomi - Have you ever heard of Marcos Automobiles? Racing cars built with wooden chassis by Jem Marsh and Frank Costin, using aircraft construction techniques in the early 1960's. Yes, aircraft used to be built of wood also, they only quit because mass manufacturing techniques for metal were faster and cheaper.
