Why does this piece of shit keep getting so much coverage - positive coverage, but the Wii U keeps getting shit all over? ~60,000 preorders isn't exactly phenomenal and buyers still have nothing to show for it, but somehow the Wii U selling more than 10x that amount in a month means it's an utter failure. Why is

Totally didn't notice. Kind of like how you didn't notice my 4 emails asking for the Kotaku swag mailing address. Guess we're both just putting effort into something that won't get noticed.

Wow. No love for the Dragon Lord from DW1?

The ruined the rig and items upgrading and whatnot by over complicating the menu system and upgrade system. It used to be pretty simple be rewarding and satisfying. I spent too much time trying to navigate the messy new system and just gave up on bothering.

I don't know anyone who ever used anything but the cutter, so why bother making all of these stupid weapons to build and over-complicating something they could have easily just simplified more? They biffed the entire rig and item systems too. And the ammo system sucks now because you're busy blasting your machinegun

Based on the demo I just finished playing, they ruined everything good about Dead Space.

You can pretend Dead Space 3 is no longer a part of the series too. I did after playing the early demo.

"Most of the time grinding is actually done to reduce a challenge."

Psh. Valid complaints for which audience? He complains about DQ, so he's obviously pandering to the cakewalk RPG crowd.

Yeah, so Star Ocean.

Grinding isn't a REQUIREMENT; it's what you might need to do in order to make your team more viable to proceed to another area without getting your ass handed to you. Grinding is for pussies who don't like a challenge; that's what I'm saying. I've never had to spend too much time grinding in any DQ game except for

I would like to see what the results would be if an able-minded, anti-violent-games politician were required to play through a couple of violent games. Would he turn IIIINNNNSANE??

Without some grinding, where's the challenge to be had in an RPG then? So what you guys want/like is for the game to just keep progressing without challenging you in any way. FUN! :-|

The problem isn't with DQ; it's with you sucking horribly at DQ.

So, it's a Star Ocean system.

From what I gather here, there's very little evidence that VIOLENT games cause anything beyond a slight increase in aggression (but whether or not it goes beyond the time of play, is not defined), HOWEVER, it appears to me that COMPETITIVE games cause a more defined amount of aggressive behavior...but it's funny that

I think the Wii U's biggest hurdle is the fact that it launched smack dab in the era of nit-picking every little thing apart and complaining about every minor inconvenience immediately upon release of any hardware that doesn't have an Apple logo on it.

No, because it's pretty clear that one the show the body was bulky and the head was small. This one, the head is super deformed, massive and retarded looking, and the shoulder pads are way too big because the arms are way too puny. Even the belly is all beer gut and pear shaped. The whole thing is all awkward

Looks like all of the effort went into Krang himself, and the rest just looks half-assed and retarded.

I think everyone's experience must be different, because I lived in Japan for more than a decade and I never went past the "Green" levels. I loved Japan and regret ever leaving. America has been just as shitty as it was when I left, and since I've been back I've moved to 4 different states trying to find someplace
